Meet Me

Hi! My name is Kim and I’m an herbal junkie. I confess I took my last herbal formula 20 minutes ago.

I love to have fun with family and friends! And I do despite the fact that I’ve battled symptoms of autoimmune disease for almost 15 years.  About 10 years ago I was feeling much better…able to jet ski, ride a bike and drive again!  A few years later major flares had me in a wheelchair with a knee the size of a football for a few months, couldn’t drive for two years that time, extremely dependent on friends and family. Today I’m much better in many ways (worst pain is from shoulder to hands, then knees and feet, so some days typing is not bearable) and some days are better than others.  We recently moved to the mountains of western NC and I’ve been able to go on trail walks in around home and the Blue Ridge Parkway! God is my Rock….so going through this without him is not even an option!

This blog may sometimes be a resource for natural healing methods as I share things that have worked for me and things that I know have worked for others for a long, long time! Did I mention they are age-old remedies? Ha ha! Yep, we can use the provisions God made for us in the beginning….for healing.

I am determined not to waste this time in my life.  I hope to make you laugh, maybe cry….so welcome to my sometimes crazy, but always joyful, life as I feel inspired.  If you are reading this, I consider you my friend!

Oh yeah – the reason I named this treadin’ on high is inspired by the book Hind’s Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurnard.  Treadin’ on the high places with Jesus is where I want to be!
